POOR AIR QUALITY
\r\nWildfires continue to create unhealthy and hazardous air conditions locally and across our county. Due to poor air conditions resulting from regional fire smoke, we will be limiting outdoor activities in all NFSD schools. Recess and PE classes will be held inside. A decision about outdoor sports practices and games will be communicated by 2:00 pm each school day.
\r\nWe will continue to make decisions regarding the operating status of our schools based on the recommendations of the Washington Department of Health (DOH). The following Air Quality Guide from DOH outlines recommendations for schools regarding outdoor activities such as recess, PE classes, and athletic practices and events, and will provide updates as needed.
